Ontario has announced C$607,200 in provincial support for a C$6.65 million manufacturing investment by Paskal Canada in Tecumseh. The 13 October 2026 announcement lists renovations to the company’s local facility and the purchase of manufacturing equipment, rather than a new greenhouse construction project.

The support is part of Ontario’s Regional Development Program, through the Southwestern Ontario Development Fund. The government puts Paskal Canada’s planned investment at C$6,646,023 and its provincial contribution at C$607,200. It is one of four manufacturing projects in Windsor and Tecumseh receiving support in a package involving C$38.3 million of company investment and about C$4.8 million of provincial funding.

Manufacturing investment follows Canadian plant opening

The funding announcement is distinct from the opening of Paskal’s Canadian production facility, which the company publicised on 1 October. Paskal said the newly opened Windsor-area operation would increase local manufacturing capacity and improve responsiveness to North American customers. The latest provincial statement concerns investment in facilities and equipment, not a second opening on 13 October.

Paskal supplies cultivation-support products including greenhouse hooks, clips and trellising accessories. These components are used in professional protected horticulture, making local manufacturing and distribution capacity relevant to greenhouse suppliers and growers who procure such products across North America.

What the funding signals for greenhouse suppliers

The investment is directed at the manufacturing supply chain, rather than additional growing area. Equipment upgrades could change how the company serves regional customers, although Paskal has not published a measured production-capacity increase or delivery-time improvement attributable to the specific C$6.65 million programme.

The Ontario government describes the package for all four recipients as supporting 69 jobs in total; it does not identify a separate job figure for Paskal. Its announcement also does not specify when Paskal’s renovation and equipment programme will finish. The C$607,200 figure describes announced provincial support, not a verified amount already disbursed.
