Poland opens greenhouse energy-upgrade grants with 3 November deadline

Polish growers can seek up to 65% reimbursement, capped at PLN 200,000, for qualifying greenhouse and polytunnel energy upgrades under a wider farm-building programme.

Poland has opened an energy-efficiency grant window that explicitly includes greenhouses and foil tunnels among eligible agricultural buildings. Applications to the ARiMR Area C programme are being accepted from 5 October through 3 November 2026, according to the government agency’s call rules. The funding is available to qualifying farm businesses, not exclusively to greenhouse operators.

ARiMR says eligible applicants may receive reimbursement of up to 65% of eligible expenditure, with a ceiling of PLN 200,000 per beneficiary for Area C under the current strategic plan. These limits appear in the agency’s programme opening announcement; they are maximums, not guaranteed awards.

Greenhouses and tunnels qualify under wider farm-building rules

The official list of eligible agricultural structures names greenhouses and plastic-covered tunnels alongside storage, livestock and other agricultural buildings. Supported efficiency measures can include heat-recovery installations, energy-efficient LED lighting, building insulation, windows and energy-monitoring or management systems, where the proposed work meets the scheme’s requirements.

Projects must plan eligible costs above PLN 20,000 and deliver reductions of at least 30% in each of the final-energy (EK) and primary-energy (EP) indicators for the supported building. The agency also specifies that work must not begin before submission of the aid application and sets project-delivery conditions.

What growers should check before applying

For commercial greenhouse businesses considering retrofits, the immediate issue is eligibility and an application that documents energy savings. ARiMR requires the applicant to meet agricultural-business criteria and may require building-works documentation; growers should establish this before committing to an upgrade.

Applications are filed through Poland’s Portal Rolnika. The 3 November deadline applies to this Area C call, not to every energy programme available in Poland. Approval remains subject to application review, and no grant award to a specific greenhouse project is established by the announcement.

Key takeaways

  • Poland’s ARiMR Area C grant window is open from 5 October to 3 November 2026 and can include eligible greenhouse and polytunnel energy-efficiency work.
  • Reimbursement may reach 65% of eligible costs, capped at PLN 200,000 per beneficiary; the scheme also sets project and energy-performance thresholds.
  • Eligible applicants must submit through Portal Rolnika and meet the programme’s conditions before beginning funded work; awards are not automatic.
