Ukraine will temporarily suspend new applications for greenhouse and horticulture grants on 16 October 2026. Producers can apply until 15 October inclusive, according to the State Agrarian Register’s 6 October announcement. The application window remains open until that deadline.

The suspension covers modular greenhouses, orchards, berry crops and vineyards. Applicants use the Diia application service and must be registered in the State Agrarian Register. Officials plan to reopen submissions in the first quarter of 2027, although no firm restart date has been published.

A financing deadline for greenhouse projects

The current programme supports modular greenhouse projects covering 0.4–2.4 hectares, with grants of up to UAH 7 million depending on area. Applicants must demonstrate ownership or use rights over project land for at least seven years. For eligible projects in frontline or formerly occupied areas, the state may cover up to 80% of project costs.

For producers planning investment, the immediate choice is whether an eligible project can be submitted by 15 October or must wait for the next application round. The notice concerns new applications; it does not cancel awards already approved.

Approved grants are not completed greenhouses

In 2026, Ukraine authorised 21 greenhouse grants worth UAH 130 million. Of these, 19 awards worth UAH 123 million had been fully financed, the government said. Across greenhouse and other horticultural programmes, 61 grant decisions totalled UAH 300 million.

Projects supported by the programme envisage 31.5 hectares of modular greenhouses. This is planned facility area, not evidence that the buildings have been constructed or begun production.

The government says funding is provided for in its 2027 budget plans. The timing of the actual reopening remains uncertain, and greenhouse developers should monitor the official register rather than assume a guaranteed Q1 date.
