Florida-based AG2 TC is expanding its wholesale tissue-culture offering with additional foliage, tropical, carnivorous and landscape varieties for nurseries and commercial growers.
The expansion was announced in late September and includes plants such as Dieffenbachia, Alocasia, Calathea, Philodendron, Peperomia, Tradescantia and Ficus. AG2 TC operates from Apopka and supplies wholesale starter material rather than finished retail plants.
From laboratory propagation to greenhouse liners
AG2 TC produces plantlets in controlled laboratory conditions and then moves them into greenhouse acclimatization and growing. Its company material says the plants are finished as 3–5 inch liners in 72-cell trays for professional buyers.
The company is widening its range as wholesale nurseries serve a retail plant market that increasingly spans traditional garden centres, independent stores, e-commerce and social-media-driven plant sellers.
