The greenhouse campus formerly developed by Springworks Farm in Lisbon, Maine, is scheduled for a lender-ordered auction on 23 October 2026 at 11 a.m. Eastern Time, according to Tranzon Auction Properties’ listing AP26066.
The auctioneer markets the land, buildings and installed production equipment together. The event is an announced asset sale; the reviewed material does not establish bankruptcy or the company’s broader financial condition.
Growing area and land are different measures
Tranzon lists approximately 117,000 square feet of greenhouse growing space and 56,000 square feet of attached headhouses on about 168 acres at 347 Lisbon Street. The growing area is about 10,870 square metres, or 1.09 hectares, by editorial conversion. The acreage refers to the property, not protected cropping space.
The listing says buildings have town water, sewer and natural gas connections. Installed fish tanks remain, but fish production is not currently active.

Existing infrastructure, uncertain next use
A 30 September Mainebiz report reproduced by Tranzon identifies the property as the former Springworks aquaponics campus, where lettuce and tilapia production had been linked through nutrient-rich water. It describes the newest greenhouse as a 73,600-square-foot structure built in 2024.
For the controlled-environment sector, the commercial signal is the availability of an established site rather than newly built capacity. A change of owner would not itself demonstrate a restart or continued greenhouse use. The buyer, sale price, equipment condition and eventual operating model remain unknown.
Key takeaways
- The auction is scheduled, with no completed sale reported.
- Listed greenhouse area is separate from the much larger land parcel.
- Future production and ownership remain open questions.
Tranzon says the offering can be changed or withdrawn; the current auction documents govern the sale.
